NDIS Cleaning Services for Gold Coast Participants

If you have tried a cleaner before and been let down by no-shows, or by someone who was thorough the first visit and rushed by the third, that is the part we fix first. Why Clean has been cleaning Australian homes since 2018, we are a registered NDIS provider, and on the Gold Coast we do one thing properly: we turn up when we said we would, we clean to the same standard every time, and you get your week back.

Most cleaning companies treat NDIS work as a normal clean with different paperwork. It is not. A good NDIS clean is built around how you live in your home: which cupboards you can reach, which surfaces need to stay clear so you can move safely, and which jobs have quietly become the hardest part of your week.

We cover the Gold Coast from Coomera down to Coolangatta and inland through Nerang and Robina: weekly, fortnightly or one-off.

Who Can Access Cleaning Support Under the NDIS

Cleaning support is generally available if a disability, illness or injury makes it unsafe or unreasonably hard to maintain your home yourself. Participants who use our service include:

  • People with limited mobility, chronic pain or fatigue
  • Participants recovering from surgery or a serious injury
  • People with sensory or cognitive conditions where mess makes daily living harder
  • Participants living alone without informal supports nearby
  • Households where a carer is stretched and cleaning keeps slipping

Every plan is different. If you are unsure whether cleaning sits in yours, ask us and we will tell you straight.

How NDIS Cleaning Is Funded – Core Supports Explained

Domestic cleaning usually falls under Core Supports, in the Assistance with Daily Life category. That budget is the most flexible part of most plans, so you can generally direct it toward household tasks without a new plan review.

We quote a clear hourly rate up front, invoice against the hours actually worked, and you only pay after the clean is done. No hidden extras, no charge for equipment or supplies. Check the current NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits for household task rates, as these are reviewed each year.

Self-Managed, Plan-Managed and NDIA-Managed Participants Welcome

How your plan is managed What you do What we do
Self-managed Claim through the myplace portal Invoice you directly, straight after each clean
Plan-managed Give us your Plan Manager's email Send NDIS compliant invoices to them
NDIA-managed Nothing extra Handle the claim and the paperwork at our end

What's Covered: Tasks Included in Every Visit

We work to a structured checklist so nothing depends on memory or mood, then adapt it to your home. A standard visit covers kitchen benches, sinks and stovetops, bathrooms and toilets, vacuuming and mopping through living areas and bedrooms, dusting and surface wiping, bins, and high touch points like handles, switches and rails.

Laundry, bed linen, interior windows and oven or fridge cleaning can be added when your hours allow. Tell us what matters most and it goes to the top of the list.

Tailored Cleaning Plans Built Around Your Goals

Your NDIS goals are the brief. If the goal is independence, we set the house up so the tasks you can do stay easy to do. If it is health and reducing infection risk, we weight the visit toward sanitising and the areas that get missed. If it is managing energy, we take the heavy work off you so you can spend what you have on what you actually want to do.

Compassionate, Police-Checked and Experienced NDIS Cleaners

Letting someone into your home is the real decision here, not the cleaning. Every Why Clean cleaner is police-checked, fully insured, trained in safe cleaning practice and experienced in supporting NDIS participants. They confirm your priorities on arrival, work around your things rather than through them, and keep what they see to themselves.

One participant, booking after a work injury, told us: "So happy that the lady turned up on time. I had 4 previous weeks with another company where they were 3.5 hrs late and I couldn't get hold of them." Another, recovering from shoulder surgery: "The ladies were lovely and got the job done perfectly."

That is the bar. On time, kind, finished properly.

The Same Familiar Cleaner Each Visit Where Possible

We keep you with the same cleaner wherever we can, because a familiar face is worth more than a tidy roster. Your preferences stay on file, so a change in staff never means explaining it all again. Gender preference is accommodated where possible.

Working With Support Coordinators, LACs and Plan Managers

Support Coordinators send us participants because we do not create work for them. We handle service agreements, onboarding, scheduling changes and compliant invoicing without a chain of follow-up emails, reply the same business day, and adjust hours when a plan shifts. Why Clean is already a trusted provider for DVA and aged care networks.

Frequently Asked NDIS Cleaning Questions

The things Gold Coasters ask before they book. Anything else, just call.

No. The tasks overlap, but the purpose is different. NDIS cleaning supports your daily living, safety and independence, so it is built around your needs rather than a fixed package.
As often as your plan allows. Weekly and fortnightly are most common, and one-off cleans are available, including post-hospital and new accommodation cleans.
Yes. Plans change, health changes, appointments move. Tell us and we adjust the frequency, the tasks or the timing.
Yes, everything is included. If you prefer specific products in your home, we use those instead.
It depends on your home and the tasks agreed. Two hours is a common starting point for a maintenance clean, and we give you a realistic estimate before you commit any funded hours.
